PROOF POINT · SGCLE

From paper processes to AI agility.

A thriving multi-activity company in French Guiana ran on paper. New compliance requirements hit its electrical-equipment factory on an emergency timeline. The ERP went live on time—and the AI-powered apps needed little or no training.

The problem

SGCLE was a thriving company with several lines of activity and one thing in common across all of them: the processes ran on paper. It worked, until new compliance requirements landed on the electrical-equipment factory with a deadline that left no room for a conventional ERP programme.

The harder constraint was the workforce. The people who would have to use whatever replaced the paper had limited computer literacy and no time to be trained on an enterprise system. A standard rollout—configure, train, go live—would have missed the date and lost the users.

The intervention

We treated the ERP as the backbone and adoption as the actual project. The sequence mattered: process first, platform second, and a front door built for the people who would use it.

01 · RE-ENGINEER Process re-engineering

The paper processes were mapped and redesigned around how the operation actually ran, so the ERP would support the work rather than dictate it.

02 · ROLL OUT Odoo ERP as an official partner

Odoo was configured to the re-engineered process, sequenced so that what the compliance requirement demanded was live on the date.

03 · BUILD Custom AI-powered apps

Purpose-built apps sat on top of the ERP so that key users interacted with the operation in their own terms, and the system filled in behind them.

04 · LISTEN A voice interface for key users

A voice interface meant the people running the factory never had to face the ERP’s learning curve. They spoke; the ERP recorded.

The outcome

  • From paper to a modern ERP, with the compliance deadline met
  • The AI-powered apps required little or no user training
  • One backbone across a multi-activity company instead of parallel paper trails
  • AI used where it removed friction for people, not as a headline feature

The workforce did not have to learn the ERP. The ERP learned to listen.
